Howling, Hospitals and Heatwaves

Hello lovelies!

So as you may or may not have noticed (preferably you have) I have been absent from this blog for quite a bit. Thats down to a few things to be honest. I guess i'll start with the biggest and I suppose 'worst' reason.

Hospital - I was admitted to hospital about 40 hours ago and I am still here (i'm currently typing from my hospital bed with a Canula sticking out from my dominate hand - no use when you want to brush your hair or do normal everyday stuff. Sigh. I have the nicest staff ever. You'll know how nice - I have just been given some toast, in bed. Is that service or what? I suppose the toast tastes so great because I hadn't eaten in 24 hours and I love my food. All of this doesn't neccessarily make me feel any better. You may be wondering what happened? Well it all started on wednesday night. I had severe stomach cramps which was making it almost impossible to walk and it wasn't schedueled for my 'girly time' if you know what I mean.... I went to school the next day with the pain not subsiding at all causing me great pain. Eventually I was admitted to hospital and i'm still here. I am feeling much better but for now this ward is pretty much my home but its ok got my own wee private room and portable DVD player. What more could a girl ask for???

Reason (excuse) two is that it is back to school season, which, contriversially I love! Woo! However since I am now in my fourth year of high school it is exam time - scary! That means tons of homework...and I mean tons!

The last reason has been ideas. I want this blog to be a little bit of everything so I have been preparing posts - some are ready for next week so keep your eyes peeled, they are good ones!

And thats it I suppose - sorry its been such a long rambly one, its back to good ones I promise!

Boots Bank Crisis! | Beauty and Sunshine

Hello Lovelies!

Yesterday I was in Edinburgh with my mum and sister. We went around and just had a girly day out in the sun. Surprisingly however, I didn't buy anything.... ha what a lie. Who could resist a boots trip? Not me certainly. So you know...... this is what happened - great for my beauty and boots sales not so good for my bank balance. Woops.

So the first thing that caught my eye was boots three for two on mini's and travel size products! (Which it was the last day of yesterday! Sorry! :(! ) The first thing I purchased was the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush - Floral & Flirty. I got mine in the 50ml size but the smallest they have online is the 200ml (linked above.)

Keeping with the hair theme another thing I bought has only to my knowledge has only had great reviews from everyone I know. Its the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor  Deep Conditioner. It claims to restore manageability and shine. Two things I need and it smells like mint. Case closed.

The third and Final Hair thing I got is another spray. It's the Trevor Sorbie Salon Approved Volume Thickening Spray. Well that's a mouthful! It is as it says a spray (obviously) which you spray onto damp hair, concentrating on the roots then blow dry. It again smells lovely which is a must and comes in a golden yellow bottle. What more could you ask for?

The next thing I have comes in small circular packaging and is perfect for those little 'slip ups' They are the Boots Essentials Eye Makeup Remover pads. You get 40 in this little pack and one pad will remove eye makeup easily from both eyes. Perfect when your bottle of Bioderma isn't at hand.

Its so Simple. Its a face wash and its so simple. I mean it is the Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash. I have only recently started to love the brand simple but since trying it again I am in love. I love their makeup remover so I am excited to try this facial wash. I have never tried any facial washes but I am told they are really good for your skin so I am excited to try it.

Soap and Glory is a brand that EVERY beauty blogger has tried so what did I do when I hadn't? I went out and got something from the brand. I have seen many things from the brand but have always fancied two things - anything from the Sugar Crush line and the Flake Away Body Polish. Since they didn't have any Sugar Crush products I got the Flake Away Body Polish. It has Shea Butter, Sugar and Peach seeds in it. It smells so good and I can't wait to try it!

The last three Items are Make up items (which were not on sale!) They are all from Rimmel so the first thing has been hyped about by almost every beauty blogger on the planet and its the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in 002 Pink Blossom. You get the drift. Its the first one I have ever bought (Outrage!) but certainly won't be the last. Love, love, love.

The next thing I got was the Rimmel Match Perfection in 100 Ivory. I usually have terrible trouble finding a foundation which actually matches my pale pink skin tone but this one.... oh my god. But I guess that is what you would expect from 'match perfection ' but just oh my god.

The last item is a mascara and its brand new. That's really strange for me I am usually the last to buy products but this mascara really caught my eye. Get the pun? Eye? Mascara? Yeah that's why I'm not a Comedian. Anyway - It's the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Mascara The new line 'Retro Glam' has this mascara, a liquid liner and some shimmer sticks I think. I don't know about the other products from this range but if this ones anything to go by.... they'll be amazing. Black, Big, Long lashes. What more could you ask for?

That's it for today guys! I hope you enjoyed this haul. I think my posting schedule will be every Saturday and Wednesday? What do y'all think?

New Blog | Beauty and Sunshine

Hello Lovelies!

Time for a wee Life Update don't you think? Yeah? Me too. Long time no see, how've you been? Well life is pretty good for me at the moment - Hot weather for a start, I mean come on who doesn't love a bit o' sunshine? School starts back soon as well. I'll admit I am not exactly overjoyed at the idea of exams, course work and all that jazz but I have missed my beautiful friends.

If you have been following my Google account you'll know this is not my first blog. It's not even my second, it is my third blog. The other two have now been taken down as I am not planning on keeping up three blogs at one time. If I am being truthful I am quite (a.k.a. awful) at remembering to update my blog. This is due to the fact of the aforementioned school and all the exams and stress that go with it!

My new blog which you are on just now is Beauty and Sunshine! It is my new baby and with the birth of my new blog is the birth of a new schedule for posting and updating etc. I am excited for this blog as my two previous blogs were not exactly up to the standard I want my blog at and another thing - they have/had no followers. Now I am not saying that I want my blog for the followers, but obviously there is no point writing blog posts for no one to be reading them. This is a thing that I feel many 'new' or 'not so new' bloggers struggle with. Another thing is photographs - I don't have a big fancy camera or a MacBook Pro for editing them. I am not extremely upset about this however because I do have a digital camera (a very old one) and my smartphone - a Sony Ericsson Neo V which does have an 8.1 megapixel camera but it still is not up to the £400 camera standard and I wouldn't expect it to be.

If and as my blog expands so will - hopefully- my experience and equipment. I hope you all follow, comment and like. I am really looking forward to our new relationship and I know there is still more to come!
